Painted pumpkins, pointy hats, a bubbling cauldron
complete with tissue paper flames,
and even a sprouting box garden...
If only this perfectly landscaped, festive fall scene
was displayed in my front yard instead of along
the nature trail at the botanical gardens.
I haven't even bought a pumpkin yet.

You really don't have a pumpkin yet? I don't believe you, you are so on top of everything! We have had several pumpkins given to us so we have them coming out our ears. But there are still no decorations up yet. Sigh, maybe tomorrow.
