Noah didn't make it off the diving board this time around. The poor kid is actually getting over an ear infection so I didn't think it would be the best time to try it, but NOW he insists that he wants to do it - like Abby. We'll see if he changes his tune the next time we are at the pool.
After only five lessons, they still have a lot to learn and practice, but with those certificates in hand, they were feeling pretty proud of themselves...
Kids with a strong sense of self-efficacy are:
- better problem solvers
- less likely to become helpless
- more resilient
- more willing to try new things and take risks

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I remember when Kaishon went off the diving board for the first time. He looked so tiny up there : )
Congrats to them for finishing their swim lessons!
Yay for swimming lessons (such a part of being a kid--and so is that first leap off the diving board)! They look so proud, as they should be!
You've reminded me that I need to truck my camera into the pool so I can get a shot of Gracie jumping off the high dive. :)
Congrats to your kiddos. I would have been so nervous with them on the diving board.
