I love to call her when the American Idol auditions are on because I know she is sitting in front of her TV laughing. "Pants on the Ground" is her new favorite song. :)
And every single morning, for as long as I can remember, she's been going to McDonald's for breakfast.
I have so many memories of spending the night with her and my grandpa and then going to Mickey D's for an sausage biscuit at the crack of dawn.
Nowadays, she orders a breakfast burrito.
My kids love going to "Old McDonald's" (as they call it) with my grandma when we visit her. It's the only time we ever manage to leave the house before 7am...
and it's the only time that I snap pictures while eating at "The Golden Arches."
It's also the only time when practically every person in the restaurant stops by our booth to comment on how cute "those great grandbabies" are and to tell me what a special lady my grandma is.
She truly is.
* Fishful Thinking activity idea - Valentine's Day (or a birthday) is about showing the people in our lives that we care for them. Find a photo of your family that captures a happy experience and share it before the holiday.

what a sweet, wonderful post kelli! it is such a blessing to have strong women in the family. you are following in that tradition. :)
So sweet! Your grandma definitely looks younger than 93. Sounds like you do have a pretty amazing grandmother.
How lucky for you and it sounds like she is an awesome and incredible lady!
Love that she goes to McDonald's every morning, if McDonald's heard about it, I bet they would want to use her in an advertisement.
My daughter calls it Old McDonald's too :)
Love this post Kelli! I love reading your posts and keeping up with your cute family. And this one dedicated to your grandma's birthday made me smile! Sure love ya and miss you around these parts!
I love this post and I love your grandma! She reminds me of MY grandma (who happens to be 93 too!). I wish I could just bottle their zest for life and save it. What amazing examples our kids have through them!!
that is just awesome honey!! happy happy birthday grandma :)
Oh, how awesome is your grandma? Happy birthday to her.
your G'ma is RAD!!
You know, there's nothing in the world like a grandma.
What a life she must have lead -- and she still looks full of life.
I hope I look that great at 93 (I hope I'm still here at 93).
Happy Birthday!
Wow, she is quite a lady. I really enjoyed reading about her! Wish her a Happy Birthday from a blog that is her fan!
You truly are blessed. I've lost all of my grandparents & had by the time I was 25. It's sad to think my kids will never have great grandparents & at the rate we're going they may not even have grandparents =( What a beautiful entry. Happy Birthday to your grandma!!! Stopping in from PSF.
Your Grandma is way cute! How cool that she is still raring to go and so full of life! What great memories you and your kids have of her.
You are so lucky to still have your Grandma in your life cause Grannies rock. :)
Wow...she's definitely one awesome great-grandma!
Grandmothers are my very favorite sorts of people. I am so glad you have had yours for so mamy years. That is very special. She is beautiful : ).
How nice--your grandmother looks lovely. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on
My mom swears my grandma will out-live us all!
70 years old, works out every day, gardens, volunteers, and works from home. Her back is in the shape of an S due to scoliosis- and the docs have no clue how she's able to walk, let alone work-out!
CRAZY!
Happy Follow Friday! (I know this isn't your friday post...:) )
