My vibrant, cheerful, glimpse-of-springtime Valentine tulips lasted for almost a week. Since they are potted, I had hoped the blooms would last a little longer, but they have already withered away (sniffle, sniffle).
At least I have a picture to remember them by.
I was thinking of trying to plant them in hopes that they might someday return to their former beauty, but I have never planted tulip bulbs before. Any advice from those with a greener thumb than mine would be GREATLY appreciated.
I'm just glad they were only $5.99. The withering away is even worse when you know the flowers cost an arm and an leg. Why roses cost so much money, I do not understand.
Give me tulips over roses anytime. ( A little hint for my husband if he happens to read this.)

My husband didn't do roses either. Instead i got 100 peruvian lilies. See, he is peruvian so perfect. no bulbs, though. They are going into the trash in a few days.

I love tulips!
I love tulips! I live near Holland, MI where they have the big Tulip Time Festival ever year. One of my favorite things it see all the thousands of tulips in bloom there every spring.
Your tulips are beautiful...and even more because they were cheap. Spring, pretty and cheap is a GREAT combination!
april is a good time to plant tulip buds.
