It's over already?

There's just something a little melancholy about the week after Christmas. Taking down Christmas lights, packing up the ornaments, getting back into the day to day hustle and bustle...

I haven't had the heart to take our tree down quite yet. I usually like to leave it up until New Year's in an effort to keep the Christmas spirit alive a little longer. We're actually lucky that our tree made it through to the big day. Noah inadvertently knocked it over a couple times as he tried to give it a "hug". (Yes, he loved the tree THAT much!) Of course, there were also moments when he took his plastic golf club and started swinging at the ornaments. (Nice, huh?)

That being said, I may need to take the tree down a little earlier this year.

Haha... I can totally see BB trying to hug a tree :) He didn't do that this year, but he did try to lean against it numerous times!

I hate the let down after Christmas. And taking down the Christmas decor leads to buying new decor for the house. My house seems so empty.
I promise to call you sometime next week. I want to get caught up on all the stuff you don't blog about:)

I just came in from working outside and checked my blog while everyone is eating lunch. I have decided to take down our Christmas stuff today myself. Im ready, the weather is gorgeous and the best part is- Adam is motivated to clean and organize the garage! So- would it be okay with you if I added you to my blog list? I like to ask permission first- so let me know! Hope you are enjoying the rest of the Holiday week!

I usually do it after New Year's simply because I'm too exhausted and busy to do it earlier!

K- Thanks- I added you! Im so sore and tired I seriously feel my age. We got ALL the Christmas stuff packed away, outside lights too, and the garage is sooo clean- we could eat off the floor. All in one day! Thanks for your story about the Holiday being over cuz that motivated me to get busy!
