When all else fails on a long family road trip and my kids are on the verge of meltdown, I pull out my
secret weapon – a party favor sized bottle of bubbles! Sitting in the passenger seat, I blow tiny bubbles to the kids in the back, and they immediately forget that they are still strapped into their car seats. They giggle as they try to pop the bubbles, and my husband is relieved that he can drive in peace…at least for a few more miles.
(Kristen and I must be on the same wavelength this week. You can check out more traveling with kids tips here!)

What a great idea! I might have to try that one.
HI to a fellow Fishful Mom!! I love bubbles too - they are a great secret weapon :) Your kids are adorable.
Oh man this must be fun, but I'm sure my dh would say noooooo dont' want the mess etc etc.
I blow bubbles in the bathtub with them lol
That is such a great idea! I will have to remember that for our next trip!
Bubbles in the car...really?
And it doesn't make everything all sticky?
Hey whatever works...right?
And you don't hyperventalate from blowing them over & over? You are super awesome. After two puffs I'm done! Oh, balloons are a good idea too.
Hi there! Thanks for your comment on my blog, Simply Red. Hope you'll visit again.
I love your tip about blowing bubbles on road trips. We will be taking one soon. I think I'll try it. I bet my kids will love it. Thanks for sharing.
THAT is an awesome idea. I may need to borrow that the next time we're on the road for a bit. Thanks!
That's a pretty good idea. I just usually put my headphones on and let Landon do all the listening. Just kidding. Thanks for the tip.
Clever clever.
I wish I'd known that before we went on vacation last week. May well have come in handy.
I keep a bottle of bubbles in my purse. I pull them out whenever I need to keep Rew content for a few minutes. Lines in stores, doctor offices, I even pulled them out once in Church!
