Abby got all decked out in her soccer "uniform" for her first practice, she couldn't wait for the Saturday game to wear it.
I couldn't wait for her to wear these...
We could have gone for the regular ones and passed them down to Noah later, but Daddy tried these on her in the store, and we just couldn't resist.
This past Saturday was her first BIG game. Her team decided to call themselves "The Blue Popsicles". (I love it.)
She did AWESOME in her first game! The wind was blowing like crazy, but she had a total blast! She was really keeping up with that ball and got a few good kicks in. She was so cute "firing the cannon" (throwing the ball back into play). The little nicknames for the soccer terms crack me up.
Here she is with Daddy (the assistant coach) and Noah (the official mascot) after the game. (And did I mention that I'm the team mom? I brought the orange wedges and everything.)
I can't believe she is old enough to be playing soccer. She's been talking about it for months so this has all been pretty exciting stuff. Seeing those kids running around out there on the field was probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen.
I think I'm just as excited as she is for the next BIG game!

She looks SO excited to be playing soccer and I love her cleats!
She is so cute in her uniform!
I love when they first start playing - all the equipment is so little and cute! My daughter started her practices last week and my son is getting ready to start in a few weeks. Welcome to the world of soccer!
Look how happy she looks! I love it!!
Keep us posted on the season--and those shoes? So cute! I want a pair for me :)
xo
The Blue Popsicles...well if that isn't the best name for a soccer team I don't know what is!
And those pink swoops are RAD. Go Abby!
How fun! And those shoes really are awesome. That is a great name, hope she keeps having fun
She's adorable, Kelli! I love the name of her team. You should add a skirt and enter her in the Sports Princess photo contest. Then you can win money and buy lots of orange wedges.
I love it! She looks so cute and excited. I can't wait for Lucy to start!
I wonder if T would be interested in soccer when she reaches your daughter's age. It does sound like fun! She is very cute in her uniform and the action shot is great!
Oh I can't wait for the boys to be old enough! I am going to be all over that Team Mom title!!
Reminds me of my first game, especially that you brought orange slices! It's not soccer without them!
OOOOOOOOOOOOO I cant wait until my little girl can play soccer!!!!!
She looks awesome! Love the shoes!
My 12 year old self is jealous of those hawt soccer shoes! Great pictures chica. Soccer is such a fun sport to play.
She's adorable and looks so happy! My little guy just finished his first short season and it is so fun to watch them play!
She looks great in her uniform and love the PInk cleats Too cute.
I'm so glad she is enjoying a sport like soccer, I love the spring pictures too!
Cute! We're also a new soccer family. And my daughter has the same exact shoes. Though I think she's more into the gear than the game at this point. :)
