WfulW - Wishing for a snow day...

The high today was 27 degrees. Have I ever mentioned that I am not much of a winter person? Seriously, if it is going to be THIS COLD, there needs to be snow on the ground. Otherwise, it's just cold, and what's the fun in that?

We did get a dusting a few weeks ago. It was on Pat's birthday, in fact. He and the kids were outside at 8am that morning playing around in it before it all melted (two hours later).

There is a 70% chance of snow for Thursday afternoon. Only a couple inches, but we'll take what we can get.

Bring on the rosy cheeks, 6-inch tall snowmen, lots of hot chocolate, and wet hats, gloves and boots strewn all over the entryway...and an extra day off from school. (Abby was so happy to go back today, but as for me, I wasn't quite ready.)

So, Jack Frost, if you could send a little snow our way, you'd make this mama (and her kiddos) very happy!

*To help increase our chances, the kids are wearing their pjs inside out on Weds. night. I'm sure Pat will too. They think it is so funny. I don't know if that's just a VA thing, but when I was teaching school that's what my students would always do when snow was in the forecast. Worth a shot!

I TOTALLY agree! If it is going to be that cold there better be snow involved! I am in GA and it has been FREEZING...fingers crossed for Thursday snow!

We have a lot of crunchy snow right now...the kind that you can't make snowmen out of because it doesn't stick together and can't sled on because it hurts. We need a new dusting too!!

Hope you get your Thursday wish!

Look how happy they are! I am right there with 'em (and you!). Doing a Jack Frost dance and maybe, just maybe, I'll wear my PJs inside out tonight too.... ;)

(Looking forward to hearing your voice audibly tomorrow...love it in writing ;) Glad you're aboard!)

We got 16 inches right before Xmas & my son was in heaven. I'm not usually much of a cold weather person, either, but even I had to admit that was fun.

I've heard of a rain dance, but the pajama thing is new.
We should try that out here in the dry West.

Brrrrrrrrrr! In the beginning of December we were having highs like that. And no snow. It was such a bummer. I so wanted a snow (or ice!) day!

I am right there with you re: cold and snow. It should be pretty and white if it's going to be cold or it had better warm up!

You can have some of my snow! I'm with Cecily... our snow is all crunchy and no good. Maybe we'll get some new snow soon to make all this cold worth it.

PJ's outside? Hilarious. And I've been housebound for a week because of below freezing windchills. It's too cold to even play in the snow that WON'T GO AWAY.
