Bring on the Lucky Charms!

Need a few St. Patrick's Day ideas?

Click our Smilebox and/or this post from last year to see what I threw together at the last minute. (I didn't get a picture of the green toilet water though. The kids thought that was hilarious!)

This year, I actually bought the Lucky Charms a couple weeks ahead of time. They were on sale, and Abby had already been reminding me to buy some because St. Patrick's Day was coming up. I was surprised that she remembered!

It seems that we've started a bit of a tradition around here. :)

Now if I could just learn to make corned beef and cabbage, or better yet, one of these...

I saw this Kiwi Lime pie recipe over on Family Fun too. How cute is that shamrock? That site comes up with the coolest ideas!

Speaking of tradition, here's another St. Patty's Day smilebox for this year!

I love the idea of turning the toliet water green! My son would think that was hilarious. I am writing myself a note right now to do that!

Corned beef is so simple. Just but the meat withthe seasoning with it. If you have a crockpot toss it in there with some water and let it cook slow for 9 hours if you want it super tender. Or you can cook it on the stove in a pot with water for maybe 3 or 4 hours. You just have to remember to add more water so it doesn't boil out. I let my mother make the cabbage. This year we are having calcannon potatoes.

Happy St. Paddy's Day! My mom made Corned Beef and Cabbage all the time when I was a kid. Even if it wasn't St. Patrick's Day. Her mom's side of the family came from Ireland.
