Ordinary Miracles

Thank you to my friend, Amanda, for your thoughtful words today and for sharing this song. I've heard this song before, but I had never really listened to the lyrics. It is such a beautiful reminder to be grateful for the "little" things in life and how important it is to focus on the positive and all the wonderful blessings we have been given.

It’s not that unusual
When everything is beautiful.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
The sky knows when it's time to snow,
Don’t need to teach a seed to grow.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday;
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own.

Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a rain drop falls,
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.
Birds in winter have their fling
But always make it home by spring.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away;
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we’re all a part
Of the ordinary miracle.

Do you want to see a miracle?

It seems so exceptional
That things just work out after all.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

Sun comes up and shines so bright
And disappears again at night.
It’s just another ordinary miracle today.

So sweet Kelli. I love the words and am glad you typed them up. It's weird how songs just get to you. As I read Leslie's blog and listened to the song, I balled like a baby.
I'm grateful for our friendship from a thousand miles away:)

OK - I'm a dork, because as I read the first few lines from that song, I thought, "I love that CVS commercial song!" I seriously didn't know of it other than from that commercial. I did tell my husband, though, the other day how much I love that CVS commercial song. And, I love CVS too!
