Photo Story Friday - The Butterfly

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

The kids and I had just gotten home from running a few errands and were walking across our deck to the back door, when Noah noticed a forgotten plastic blue cup sitting on the deck.

"Mama! Mama! Look! Look!"

I was completely surprised at what I saw. I had to grab my camera...

As much as she wanted to keep it, Abby let the butterfly go.
They both kept calling after it, "Bye, Butterfly! Bye!"

I love precious moments like that. No toy from the store or crazy, stressful trip to the park, just a butterfly and entertainment for hours. Fun stuff!

First of all, I LOVE LOVE that first shot of the two of them peering into the cup.

And holy cow! That's one beautiful and BIG butterfly! Amazing!

What a wonderful memory to capture on film!

Wow! I can't believe it stayed around long enough for the kids to hold it! What a great moment in time.

What a cool experience for them! It's neat how "tame" the butterfly was, staying around so long for some photo opps!
Very cool!
