Sentimental Sunday - Childhood is a Gift...

Childhood is a gift...the innocence, enthusiasm, literally jumping up and down in excitement, belly laughs, genuine smiles, giving hearts, it's how we all should be. I actually envy it. What a better place this world would be if after we talked to someone for just a few minutes, that person was now considered our new "best friend". Children are so uninhibited, unassuming, and non-judgmental. Sure they have their crazy moments, but don't we all? Childhood should be cherished...and for those people out there who can't appreciate that...well, I feel sorry for them.

*****This is a comment I wrote in response to a great post written by Kelly @ Don Mills Diva. I was reminded of this gift at church today as I watched my son (and the other two-year-olds in his nursery class) enthusiastically do every single action to one of their favorite Primary songs, "Popcorn Popping", with smiling eyes and joyful little voices. Of course, I couldn't help but sing and do the actions along with them. :)

So very true. Just what I needed to be reminded of today.

How right you are...if only we could all see the world the way our kids do.

You are so right. As adults we have so many responsibilities that we forget what it was like as a child, or at least I do anyway.

Thank you for your prayers - they are felt and appreciated more than you know.
