Sentimental Sunday - Just Smile...

I'm trying to take a little advice from Nat King Cole. This song has been in my head for the past few days...

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

words by John Turner & Geoffrey Parsons
music by Charlie Chaplin

Even when things seem stressful and uncertain, I can always count on my kiddos to make me smile...
Abby begged me to take her picture the other day with this plastic garden owl my mom found to help protect our garden. Noah scurried on over and made sure to be in the picture too. "Wait! Wait! MAMAAAAA!!!" I've never seen them so excited to have their picture taken. They REALLY like this owl...funny kids. :)

Hey babe! I didn't see you at church today. Yes...I actually made an appearance. Hey! You can sit beside me in RS now...!

Hope this week goes smoothly for ya. I know it is tough for your little ones to grow up, but you're going fine. I promise.

PS - we might be changing GNO to Wednesday. Would you be game?

I needed that because I haven't found the time to smile in a few days, and I don't see it getting better for a few months.

Cracks me up what random things kids get attached to.

Okay....it worked.
I looked at that photo of your kiddos with the plastic owl and grinned.
Oops...did it again.

Amen to that sister - I love that it just takes a smile from my kiddo to melt my heart and take away any frustration from the day!
