Life as I know it is about to change...
Tomorrow morning I start teaching early morning Seminary. 6:15-7am, 5 days a week, 24 high school students (Yes, I'm a little nervous. Yes, I should be in bed right now...)
Tomorrow afternoon I am interviewing for the storytime/children's programmer part time position at the local library, which I would really enjoy. You know how I LOVE children's books! And I think I could take Noah with me to most of the storytimes.
Tuesday morning I take Abby to preschool for the first time. She's pretty excited. Me? Not so much. (I went to the parent orientation last week, and she met her teacher on Friday.) I'm kind of bummed that I can't even take her to her classroom on the first day. There's a carpool drop off line where the teachers greet the kids and take them inside. It's a whole process with assigned numbers to hang from our rear view mirrors, a map of how to navigate through the parking lot, etc...why am I doing this again?
Wednesday morning I take Abby to preschool for the second time.
Thursday morning I take Abby to preschool for the third time.
I'm not ready for this.
Is it Friday yet?

Wow, sweetie!
You have a big week in front of you filled with lots of firsts.
Good luck with teaching and your interview--I know you will do great!
And preschool? Wow! I can't wait to see pics and hear stories.
Good Luck! Good Luck! You'll do just fine. And Abby will love preschool.
Early morning seminary? Now that's another story. I'd be so nervous, but I'm sure you'll be great. You've taught before and you have such a fun personality. I hope it goes well for you.
Big week!! Good luck on the interview and teaching.
I'm sure you and Abby will be just fine. But it IS pretty emotional to make those big first steps. Preschool wasn't as big of a deal for me as kindergarten and first grade were. She's still a tiny kid!
oh my goodness honey!! you do need a lot of luck!!
seriously 24 high schoolers?? yikes!! but just think they are just "older" fourth graders :)
and super excited for you about the storytime position - how great would that be?? seriously i would love to have that job!!
as for the preschool milestone...sending you lots of hugs. and maybe a box of kleenex!!
Hope that all went well with Seminary today! I am sure that you were great!
Good luck with the interview. I hope that goes well and that you get the job! You would be so much more fun than the "older" ladies that usually do it!
As far as preschool goes - remember that you are doing this because Abby wants to go. I know that it will be hard but keep it together until she can't see you anymore then let those tears flow and call me! I love ya!
Hope you survived seminary today. Was thinking of you because our new teacher just started today too. Here though we have it 4 times a week for an hour. That one day a week off was a sanity saver for me.
Good luck with your interview you will be perfect for that.
Oh and I have preschool officially starting this week too, which I am both elated and saddened by.
That early? Every morning? You are much braver than me! Even if I was as awesome a teacher as you, I would have problems with keeping my eyes open. Hope you got off to a great start today!
Oh, and had a great interview, too!
My goodness, friend! I am dying to hear all the details in person about how seminary went.
And by the way?...you would rock at that position at the library. Is is up for a citizen's vote? I vote Kelli for story person. I used to take the kids every week for a while. Let me know how that turns out!
I told Jenny the other day (via facebook...does anyone talk person to person anymore?) to be careful cause she just might find herself enjoying the time that Gavin is at school. You know me. I'll tell you the same thing. Not that I don't feel for you...you know I love ya!
Good luck! Oh, and get some rest. Sounds like you'll need it.
Good luck!
