A Sentimental Sunday

Still Believe
I haven't seen His face, but I have seen His miracles
I haven't heard His voice, but His spirit speaks to my heart
I haven't felt His hands, but I have felt His peace
And blessed are those who haven't seen

And still believe that He lives
And still believe that He walked upon the earth
And though my faith is just a seed
I still believe

I didn't walk with Him, but each day He's here by my side
I didn't watch as He healed, but His love has changed my life
I didn't see the cross, but I know it was for me
And blessed are those who haven't seen

And still believe that He lives
And still believe that He walked upon the earth
And though my faith is just a seed
I still believe

I haven't seen His eyes, but someday He'll look into mine
And if He bids me come, I will worship at His feet
For blessed are those who haven't seen
And still believe.

- Words and music by Hilary Weeks

I want to express my gratitude today for the opportunity I have had to work with the Primary children in our ward at my church over the last few years. I have loved teaching the children and, more than that, learning from their faithful examples and sweet spirits.

I'm also grateful for the opportunity I'll have this coming school year to teach early morning seminary...believe it or not! :) (For those of you who aren't familiar with this, it's a scripture study program,5 mornings/wk from 6:15-7am, for high-schoolers at our church.) This year we will be studying the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I'm really excited to share this experience with these kids. The funny thing is I taught most of them in Primary. One of the girls was in my Sunbeams class (3 yr olds) and now she's going into 9th grade! (Do I feel old or what?)

I know this experience will bless my life, and I'll learn and grow from studying the scriptures and working with these great kids. I'm grateful for our Savior and the love He has for each one of us.

Yeah Chris told me they released you. I know how much you love primary. I am glad though that you still get to teach because I know that is something you love.

What a beautiful song. Faith really is the basis of our beliefs.

Good luck with your transition! Can't wait to hear how it goes with the "big" kids.
